Links to Other Internet Sites

At certain places on this website, "links" to other Internet addresses are made available for the visitor. Such references do not constitute or imply endorsement or recommendation by the ABO. Directory of Diplomates

The ABO has established a searchable database developed from information provided by Diplomates. Only those orthodontists who have become Diplomates of The American Board of Orthodontics are listed in this database.

The ABO does not operate a database that lists Diplomates by treatment methods or experience.

If you are looking for a qualified, ABO board-certified orthodontist, we recommend you contact one or more Diplomates listed through our searchable database to discuss your orthodontic needs.

Vendor Policy
1.

The ABO remains unaffiliated with any commercial enterprise and does not endorse any specific products or treatment techniques. The ABO requires that all vendors, advertisers or commercial enterprises refrain from any implication that the ABO endorses the commercial enterprise's products or services.

The sole instance in which a vendor may mention the ABO's name in association with their marketing is listed in Item #2 below.

2.

Any commercial enterprise offering a product or service intended to aid the examinee in completing the Clinical Examination must accompany the offer with the following statements:

This product is compatible with current standards for submission of case reports to The American Board of Orthodontics as published at www.americanboardortho.com.**

**The American Board of Orthodontics has not reviewed or tested this product and does not endorse, guarantee, or warrant its performance or compatibility with ABO standards.

3.The ABO maintains a Public Relations Committee which is responsible for dissemination of information within the public arena. This privilege is unintended for any other parties of individuals, including vendors with whom the ABO is associated. Any unapproved public statement allying the ABO with a particular commercial enterprise will be considered in violation with the ABO's Vendor Policy.
4.The ABO provides the global opportunity for any company to demonstrate products or services that may facilitate ABO testing policies and data collection processes. These instruments would be field-tested by the ABO for efficacy, and results of such trials may offer the vendor valuable product information for future research and development.

We accomplish this by using certain technologies, including "cookies" (a technology that can be used to provide the visitor with tailored information about the ABO services). The ABO does not combine information collected in this way with any personally identifiable information. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie and you can refuse it.

C. Exceptions and Limitations:

Notwithstanding the foregoing and in compliance with applicable laws, the ABO (1) cooperates fully with state, local, and federal officials in any investigation relating to any content (including personal or private electronic communications transmitted to ABO) or purported unlawful activities of any user of the Service, and (2) takes reasonable measures to protect its proprietary rights. For the limited purposes of accomplishing such cooperation and measures and in compliance with applicable laws, the ABO may be required to disclose personally identifiable information.
